History
Nowadays, technologies are evolving very quickly and there is a growing need to remove technological barriers to facilitate the development of leading-edge products, to reduce our environmental impact and limitate the health and safety risks. This particularly occurs in the field of advanced materials and more specifically concerning surface treatments. That is why, since 2009, thanks to its expertise in interface sciences and organic synthesis, SiKEMIA’s mission is to enhance the potential of materials and surface properties through the development of innovative chemical ligands and nanocoatings.
Our Facilities
Location
Our facilities are located in Grabels (south of France) and house a state-of-the-art laboratory and scale-up equipment.
Laboratory Synthesis Equipment
Our laboratory is equipped with classic sytnhesis equipment from mililitre to ten liters.
SiKÉMIA’s purification equipment includes rotary evaporators, centrifuges, ventilated ovens, vacuum ovens, distillation systems, separating funnels, distilling columns, centrifuge, and chromatography equipment. These instruments are used to isolate and purify a wide range of products from complex mixtures.
By offering process development and scale up services, we are your complete solution for all bulk projects. Our ability to transfer our catalogue compounds to commercial quantities means you do not have to go through the project transfer cycle – easing your sourcing process and adding value. Our lab is equipped with 50L reactor and 20L rotary evaporator to offer bulk support to a wide range of sectors including, biotech, pharmaceutical, electronics, cosmetic and paint industry.
Functionalization & Analysis Equipment
In order to support you in your projet, SiKÉMIA is equipped with a low pressure Plasma from Diener Electronic. With plasma, components can be tempered with various coats.

Safety Equipment
Because neither suppression nor substitution of chemical exposures is possible, we make a point of protecting our teams. In this context our laboratory is equipped with collective protection and our chemists are equipped with individual protection adapted to their tasks and their working environment. This protecting equipment is controlled once a year and the laboratory is equipped with multiple and adapted fire extinguisher.
