BIO-SUSHY

PFAS are a group of man-made chemicals that have been used in a wide range of products, including nonstick coatings, stain repellents, and firefighting foam. However, PFAS have been shown to be persistent in the environment and to have harmful effects on human health.

The BIO-SUSHY project aims to provide sustainable alternatives to PFAS-containing coatings. The project’s coatings will be based on bio-based materials, which are renewable and biodegradable. The coatings will also be designed to be non-toxic and to have a low environmental impact.
